Its hard to always hold your head higher than your heart.
I remember the days you told me we'd never fall apart.
I use to feel guilty, looking back on all the lies I believed.
Your words were filthy; being so far away from you, now I can see.
I was tricked, you lead me straight into your trap!
Even when I kicked, you'd tighten your grip, fastening me to your lap.
You had your way with my head; you knew me too well.
Had me strapped to your bed, had me under your spell.
While the air was running thin in my sealed shut cell,
I found a way under your skin, and out of your hell.
I ran to the beach, to rest my head.
But once I was asleep, I was back in your bed.
I woke up, alone, missing the old you.
Wanting to come home, but knowing thats something I couldn't do.
I counted all the times you ruined my night.
I remembered all the days you wanted to fight.
You were never the one for me.
I shouldn't of promised forever, eight months was enough for me.

Literature
Opposites
The brightest star in the sky
Attracted to the dry leaf.
It seems like resurrection into a fictional world
Where contrasts appeal to one's mind and heart.
One free and passionate spirit
Next to a bashful and sincere soul.
We're like fire and ice,
Opposites but still the same.
Literature
birthday boy
afternoons are lazy now spent in front
of the window with a glass
of wine vodka coffee
holy champagne
I drink till I feel nothing
but the shadows still dance
and your eyes I see so close
so real lovely as untainted as before
shine like that diamond ring
bet you thought I wouldn't come
but the party was dull without your hand in mine
great logic great mind great plans
burnt down the moment you smiled at me
and brushed away with just one move of
her hips
Literature
Successor
Thrown in a box, shunned from the world.
(Placed on a pedestal, shown off to the world.)
Grey dust collected at the very top, acting as a soft blanket, comforting lonely days.
(Spotlights beaming on you, accompanied by astonished gazes, marveling over your glory.)
Days drag on when everything's this dark.
(They say time flies when you're having fun.)
Tallies marked on the box for each day completed.
(You pray for these days to never end.)
One more drab day to survive, with happiness deprived.
(A bright and early morning, with smiles bound to transpire.)
Energy depleting, sanity dwindling slowly.
(Shining vivid light, pores leaking
